En ocasiones se ha considerado que estas personas son m\u00e1s proclives a un desajuste psicol\u00f3gico, mientras que otras veces los resultados han sido poco concluyentes. En el presente trabajo se ha estudiado el bienestar psicol\u00f3gico en personas de altas capacidades intelectuales, administrando la Escala de Bienestar Psicol\u00f3gico a 28 participantes de edades comprendidas entre los 22 y 34 a\u00f1os de edad. Fueron divididos en 2 grupos, uno de altas capacidades y otro de inteligencia est\u00e1ndar. El grupo de altas capacidades hab\u00eda sido identificado como tal 25 a\u00f1os atr\u00e1s, cuando ten\u00edan una edad comprendida entre los 5 y 13 a\u00f1os, utilizando el modelo de los 3 anillos de Renzulli. Los resultados indicaron la inexistencia de diferencias significativas entre los participantes de altas capacidades e inteligencia est\u00e1ndar en las diferentes subescalas de bienestar personal, a excepci\u00f3n de la subescala de bienestar material.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-9d33f42 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"9d33f42\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-024af22\" data-id=\"024af22\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b15f645 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b15f645\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4 id=\"sect0025\" class=\"u-h3 u-margin-l-top u-margin-xs-bottom\">Introducci\u00f3n<\/h4><p id=\"par0005\">A lo largo de los a\u00f1os, el estudio de las altas capacidades intelectuales (ACI) ha estado centrado principalmente en el conocimiento de la dimensi\u00f3n cognitiva de dicho fen\u00f3meno, ya sea para abordar el proceso de identificaci\u00f3n de este tipo de sujetos, o para dise\u00f1ar estrategias de intervenci\u00f3n psicoeducativa (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0005\" name=\"bbib0005\">Al\u00eda, 2008<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0105\" name=\"bbib0105\">Makel et al., 2012<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0110\" name=\"bbib0110\">Navarro et al., 2006<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0235\" name=\"bbib0235\">Tour\u00f3n y Santiago, 2013<\/a>). Sin embargo, en los \u00faltimos tiempos se viene observando en la literatura un incremento de la investigaci\u00f3n en los aspectos emocionales de este grupo de poblaci\u00f3n (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0020\" name=\"bbib0020\">Berm\u00fadez et al., 2003<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0125\" name=\"bbib0125\">Pedrosa et al., 2013<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0140\" name=\"bbib0140\">Prieto y Hern\u00e1ndez, 2011<\/a>).<\/p><p id=\"par0010\">Los especialistas en este campo de las ACI presentan posturas antag\u00f3nicas con respecto al estado de ajuste psicosocial y emocional de estas personas. As\u00ed, mientras unos destacan un ajuste psicol\u00f3gico mejor por parte de los individuos de ACI, frente a sujetos de capacidad intelectual normal (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0075\" name=\"bbib0075\">Galluci et al., 1999<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0090\" name=\"bbib0090\">Gross, 2002<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0120\" name=\"bbib0120\">Parker y Mills, 1996<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0165\" name=\"bbib0165\">Reis y Renzulli, 2004<\/a>), otros consideran que las personas con ACI son m\u00e1s vulnerables a los problemas de ajuste emocional debido precisamente a su superdotaci\u00f3n (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0275\" name=\"bbib0275\">Plucker y Callahan, 2014<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0210\" name=\"bbib0210\">Silverman, 1996<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0245\" name=\"bbib0245\">Vialle et al., 2007<\/a>). Esta divergencia de opiniones es la que hemos tenido en cuenta a la hora de iniciar nuestro estudio centrado en el bienestar psicol\u00f3gico subjetivo en personas de ACI. Estimamos que ese ajuste psicosocial y emocional al que se refieren los autores mencionados, est\u00e1 relacionado con el constructo aqu\u00ed abordado.<\/p><p id=\"par0015\">La psicolog\u00eda, tradicionalmente, ha estado m\u00e1s preocupada por el estudio de la psicopatolog\u00eda y sus posibilidades de restauraci\u00f3n de la salud mental, que por el estudio del funcionamiento mental id\u00f3neo. M\u00e1s interesada en la infelicidad que en la felicidad, siendo esta, sin embargo, una de las principales aspiraciones de los individuos. En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os parece que el foco de inter\u00e9s va cambiando y, sin abandonar el campo de la psicopatolog\u00eda, s\u00ed se aprecia un mayor inter\u00e9s en el conocimiento de la felicidad (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0270\" name=\"bbib0270\">Csikszentmihalyi, 2012<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0205\" name=\"bbib0205\">Seligman y Csikszentmihalyi, 2000<\/a>).<\/p><p id=\"par0020\">El uso del t\u00e9rmino bienestar psicol\u00f3gico ha generado controversias por diversos motivos. En numerosas ocasiones se ha entendido como sin\u00f3nimo de constructos tales como \u00abcalidad de vida\u00bb, \u00abfelicidad\u00bb, \u00abfuncionamiento positivo\u00bb, \u00ablocus de control interno\u00bb, \u00absalud mental\u00bb, \u00abresiliencia\u00bb y \u00abmotivaci\u00f3n\u00bb, cuando no est\u00e1 claro que tengan el mismo significado (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0015\" name=\"bbib0015\">Ballesteros, Medina y Caicedo, 2006<\/a>). Los usos de los t\u00e9rminos \u00abbienestar subjetivo\u00bb y \u00abbienestar psicol\u00f3gico\u00bb han sido cuestionados por algunos psic\u00f3logos al considerarlos redundantes, pues para ellos la expresi\u00f3n subjetivo se halla incluida en el t\u00e9rmino bienestar, donde queda implicada la experiencia personal (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0080\" name=\"bbib0080\">Garc\u00eda-Viniegras y L\u00f3pez, 2000<\/a>). Otros psic\u00f3logos utilizan el t\u00e9rmino bienestar psicol\u00f3gico para destacar su car\u00e1cter de \u00abexperiencia subjetiva\u00bb y diferenciarlo, de este modo, de otras expresiones ps\u00edquicas (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0250\" name=\"bbib0250\">Vielma y Alonso, 2010<\/a>). Existen 2 tradiciones conceptuales en la definici\u00f3n del concepto (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0190\" name=\"bbib0190\">Ryan y Deci, 2001<\/a>): la hed\u00f3nica, que atiende a la suma de estados de \u00e1nimo placentero, sensaciones de placer, de hallarse a gusto el individuo, momento a momento, para ser feliz (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0240\" name=\"bbib0240\">Valverde, Torres, Rahona y G\u00f3mez, 2009<\/a>), que est\u00e1 relacionada con el bienestar subjetivo (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0045\" name=\"bbib0045\">Cuadra y Florenzano, 2003<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0055\" name=\"bbib0055\">D\u2019Anello, 2006<\/a>), y la tradici\u00f3n eudam\u00f3nica, que comportar\u00eda elementos de realizaci\u00f3n de la persona, de satisfacci\u00f3n armoniosa, de consecuci\u00f3n de metas vitales y no solo de deseos, que estar\u00eda relacionada con el bienestar psicol\u00f3gico (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0040\" name=\"bbib0040\">Casullo, 2002<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0195\" name=\"bbib0195\">Salotti, 2006<\/a>) y que nos habla de la necesidad de un esfuerzo para alcanzar la felicidad, y de un trabajo para, una vez conseguida, mantenerla (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0270\" name=\"bbib0270\">Csikszentmihalyi, 2012<\/a>). La manera en la que se concibe el t\u00e9rmino bienestar en psicolog\u00eda, seg\u00fan se atienda a la naturaleza del mismo y sus componentes, es controvertida. As\u00ed, mientras para unos autores el bienestar reside en variables individuales, tanto de afectos positivos como negativos, y de la evaluaci\u00f3n cognitiva de la satisfacci\u00f3n vital que realiza la persona (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0065\" name=\"bbib0065\">Diener, Oishi y Lucas, 2009<\/a>), para otros, el bienestar es un fen\u00f3meno multidimensional en el que es necesario considerar, adem\u00e1s, tanto aspectos sociales como del entorno (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0095\" name=\"bbib0095\">Keyes, 1998<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0185\" name=\"bbib0185\">Robitschek y Keyes, 2009<\/a>).<\/p><p id=\"par0025\">A pesar de las mencionadas controversias respecto al uso del t\u00e9rmino bienestar, ya sea en su acepci\u00f3n psicol\u00f3gica, o en su acepci\u00f3n subjetiva, es posible establecer unos puntos de uni\u00f3n entre ambos enfoques: hed\u00f3nico y eudam\u00f3nico. As\u00ed, autores como\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0250\" name=\"bbib0250\">Vielma y Alonso (2010)<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0080\" name=\"bbib0080\">Garc\u00eda-Viniegras y L\u00f3pez (2000)<\/a>, y\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0045\" name=\"bbib0045\">Cuadra y Florenzano (2003)<\/a>\u00a0consideran que coexisten un eje afectivo-emocional, otro cognitivo-valorativo y un eje social, vincular o contextual de la personalidad. En cualquier caso, el estudio del bienestar en las personas resulta un tema enormemente complejo y con repercusiones en el campo de la salud en su sentido m\u00e1s amplio (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0035\" name=\"bbib0035\">Castro, 2009<\/a>).<\/p><p id=\"par0030\">Cuando revisamos la literatura especializada, que aborda la adaptaci\u00f3n social y personal, en el campo de las ACI nos encontramos con 2 posturas antag\u00f3nicas al respecto: por un lado, aquellos que consideran que los sujetos de ACI, por el hecho de serlo, presentan unos niveles \u00f3ptimos de habilidades sociales que facilitan su adaptaci\u00f3n social (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0180\" name=\"bbib0180\">Robinson, 2008<\/a>), y, por otro lado, tambi\u00e9n nos encontramos con otros autores que afirman precisamente lo contrario. Del primer grupo se pueden mencionar los estudios cl\u00e1sicos de\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0220\" name=\"bbib0220\">Terman (1925)<\/a>\u00a0y\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0225\" name=\"bbib0225\">Terman y Oden (1959)<\/a>, en los que se concluye que los sujetos de ACI, sea cual sea su coeficiente de inteligencia, presentan igual o mejor ajuste social que sus compa\u00f1eros normativos. Estos resultados han sido reiterados m\u00e1s recientemente (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0010\" name=\"bbib0010\">Bain y Bell, 2004<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0115\" name=\"bbib0115\">Norman et al., 2000<\/a>). En el segundo grupo se enmarcan los estudios que plantean la impopularidad de los ni\u00f1os superdotados, afirmando que presentan carencias en su adaptaci\u00f3n social y personal, ya sea compar\u00e1ndolos con poblaci\u00f3n normal (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0060\" name=\"bbib0060\">Dauber y Benbow, 1990<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0090\" name=\"bbib0090\">Gross, 2002<\/a>), o estableciendo que ni\u00f1os con inteligencia superior presentan mayores problemas de ajuste social (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0135\" name=\"bbib0135\">Peterson y Ray, 2006<\/a>), afirmando incluso la existencia del estigma de la superdotaci\u00f3n (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0130\" name=\"bbib0130\">Peterson, 2009<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0215\" name=\"bbib0215\">Swiateck, 2002<\/a>). Los resultados no son concluyentes.<\/p><p id=\"par0035\">Teniendo en cuenta esta diversidad de resultados, as\u00ed como los datos obtenidos en una investigaci\u00f3n anterior (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0160\" name=\"bbib0160\">Ramiro et al., 2012<\/a>), este estudio ha tenido como principal objetivo realizar un seguimiento longitudinal para conocer el nivel de bienestar psicol\u00f3gico en un grupo de personas identificadas en su infancia como de ACI, y su comparaci\u00f3n con un grupo de personas de capacidad intelectual normal.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-1f4dcf5 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"1f4dcf5\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-a549aa1\" data-id=\"a549aa1\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cc9c02e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"cc9c02e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4 id=\"sect0030\" class=\"u-h3 u-margin-l-top u-margin-xs-bottom\">M\u00e9todo<\/h4><section id=\"sec0015\"><h6 id=\"sect0035\" class=\"u-h4 u-margin-m-top u-margin-xs-bottom\">Participantes<\/h6><p id=\"par0040\">Un total de 28 participantes han intervenido en este estudio. Para la realizaci\u00f3n de este trabajo se contact\u00f3 con los sujetos de un estudio anterior que, tras ser identificados como personas de ACI en el a\u00f1o 1995 (cuando ten\u00edan una edad comprendida entre 5 y 13 a\u00f1os) mediante la aplicaci\u00f3n de la escala de inteligencia de Wechsler para ni\u00f1os, el test de matrices progresivas de Raven, los cuestionarios para padres y profesores de Renzulli-Smith y la evaluaci\u00f3n de creatividad. En aquella ocasi\u00f3n los participantes formaron parte de una investigaci\u00f3n para el conocimiento de los estilos cognitivos reflexividad-impulsividad y su comparaci\u00f3n con un grupo de alumnos de capacidad intelectual normal (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0150\" name=\"bbib0150\">Ramiro, 2005<\/a>).<\/p><p id=\"par0045\">Debido a los inconvenientes que plantean los estudios longitudinales, relativos a la mortandad experimental, as\u00ed como a lo limitado de la muestra con la que trabajamos, de las 18 personas identificadas como de ACI en 1995, \u00fanicamente pudimos contactar con 12, de las que solo 9 respondieron al cuestionario para la evaluaci\u00f3n del bienestar psicol\u00f3gico (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0160\" name=\"bbib0160\">Ramiro et al., 2012<\/a>). En los 2 \u00faltimos a\u00f1os hemos podido contactar con 5 m\u00e1s que, a\u00f1adidas a los 9 de la investigaci\u00f3n anterior, nos permiti\u00f3 trabajar con una muestra de 14 participantes de ACI. Cuatro son mujeres y 10 son hombres. Las edades estaban comprendidas entre los 22 y los 28 a\u00f1os (media\u00a0=\u00a023.9; DT\u00a0=\u00a02.05). Los CI evaluados por la escala de Wescheler en el inicio del estudio ten\u00edan un rango que oscilaba entre 130-146.<\/p><p id=\"par0050\">Adem\u00e1s del grupo de sujetos de ACI, hemos evaluado tambi\u00e9n un grupo de comparaci\u00f3n compuesto por 14 personas con inteligencia est\u00e1ndar, que obtuvieron una puntuaci\u00f3n centil, en la escala Raven-G, entre 50 y 90. Se trataba de adultos, alumnos de un curso universitario de m\u00e1ster. Cinco eran hombres y 9 eran mujeres, de edades comprendidas entre los 22 y 34 a\u00f1os (media\u00a0=\u00a025.8; DT\u00a0=\u00a03.27).<\/p><\/section><section id=\"sec0020\"><h6 id=\"sect0040\" class=\"u-h4 u-margin-m-top u-margin-xs-bottom\">Instrumentos<\/h6><p id=\"par0055\">En el estudio hemos utilizado la Escala de Bienestar Psicol\u00f3gico (EBP) de\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0200\" name=\"bbib0200\">S\u00e1nchez-C\u00e1novas (1998)<\/a>, que eval\u00faa el grado en el que el sujeto percibe su propia satisfacci\u00f3n. La escala est\u00e1 dividida en 4 subescalas: Bienestar Psicol\u00f3gico Subjetivo, Bienestar Material, Bienestar Laboral y Bienestar en su Relaci\u00f3n de Pareja. Permite obtener, adem\u00e1s de las puntuaciones de cada una de las subescalas mencionadas, 2 puntuaciones m\u00e1s: una puntuaci\u00f3n total que puede ser interpretada como un \u00edndice general de bienestar psicol\u00f3gico, y otra puntuaci\u00f3n ponderada que se obtiene a partir de los \u00edtems con mayor poder discriminativo de cada una de las subescalas.<\/p><p id=\"par0060\">La prueba consta de 65 reactivos y las respuestas se valoran en una escala Likert de 5 grados, de modo que a mayor puntuaci\u00f3n, mayor \u00edndice de bienestar psicol\u00f3gico. Las 4 subescalas que la integran se concretan del modo siguiente:<\/p><p id=\"par0065\">Subescala de Bienestar Psicol\u00f3gico Subjetivo (BPS): esta subescala consta de 30 reactivos; distingue entre felicidad y los aspectos positivos y negativos. La escala eval\u00faa el sentido de la felicidad o bienestar, es decir, a mayor puntuaci\u00f3n, mayor percepci\u00f3n subjetiva de bienestar. Su puntuaci\u00f3n m\u00e1xima posible es de 150.<\/p><p id=\"par0070\">Subescala de Bienestar Material (BM): esta subescala incluye 10 reactivos relativos al bienestar material seg\u00fan la percepci\u00f3n subjetiva de cada persona y no seg\u00fan \u00edndices externos. Mide la percepci\u00f3n subjetiva que tiene el individuo de su situaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica. Su puntuaci\u00f3n m\u00e1xima posible es de 50.<\/p><p id=\"par0075\">Subescala de Bienestar Laboral (BL): Esta subescala consta de 10 reactivos, de los cuales el 5 y el 8 poseen puntuaciones inversas. Es considerada un componente importante de la satisfacci\u00f3n general en su estado global y completo, es decir, analiza la satisfacci\u00f3n con el trabajo o el empleo. Su puntuaci\u00f3n m\u00e1xima posible es de 50.<\/p><p id=\"par0080\">Subescala de Relaciones con la Pareja (BRP): esta subescala se eval\u00faa a partir de 2 cuestionarios, seg\u00fan si el que responde es hombre o mujer. Se compone de 15 reactivos para cada uno de los cuestionarios. Los reactivos 5, 6, 7, 10, 11 y 12 poseen puntuaciones inversas. Su puntuaci\u00f3n m\u00e1xima posible es de 75.<\/p><p id=\"par0085\">Los coeficientes de consistencia interna calculados a partir del alfa de Cronbach de cada una de las subescalas fueron los siguientes: Bienestar Psicol\u00f3gico Subjetivo, 0.935; Bienestar Material, 0.907; Bienestar Laboral, 0.873; Relaciones de Pareja, 0.870. La Escala de Bienestar Psicol\u00f3gico ha sido dise\u00f1ada para su autoaplicaci\u00f3n. Puede ser administrada individual o colectivamente. Las instrucciones necesarias para su cumplimentaci\u00f3n aparecen en el propio cuadernillo de aplicaci\u00f3n. La escala no tiene tiempo limitado para su realizaci\u00f3n, su duraci\u00f3n puede oscilar entre 20 y 25\u00a0min, dependiendo del nivel educativo de las personas a quienes se administra.<\/p><\/section><section id=\"sec0025\"><h6 id=\"sect0045\" class=\"u-h4 u-margin-m-top u-margin-xs-bottom\">Procedimiento<\/h6><p id=\"par0090\">Los participantes hab\u00edan sido identificados en 1995 como de ACI mediante el modelo tridimensional de Renzulli (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0175\" name=\"bbib0175\">Renzulli y Reis, 2013<\/a>). Esto es, a partir de la aplicaci\u00f3n de: la escala de\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0255\" name=\"bbib0255\">Wechsler (2005)<\/a>, el cuestionario de\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0170\" name=\"bbib0170\">Renzulli, Smith, White, Callahan y Hartman (1977)<\/a>\u00a0para el estudio de la perseverancia, y el estudio exhaustivo de su creatividad a partir de los productos escritos (dibujos, cuentos, proyectos art\u00edsticos, etc.). Los participantes fueron identificados como de ACI si cumpl\u00edan los 3 criterios a partir de que su CI fuera superior a 130 en la escala de Wechsler.<\/p><p id=\"par0095\">La recogida de datos, por lo que se refiere al grupo de ACI, se hizo de 2 formas. En la primera de ellas mantuvimos un encuentro personal con los participantes contactados que a\u00fan resid\u00edan en la ciudad en la que se les identific\u00f3 como alumnos de ACI en 1995. En este encuentro se les solicitaba que respondiesen a la Escala de Bienestar Psicol\u00f3gico (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0200\" name=\"bbib0200\">S\u00e1nchez-C\u00e1novas, 1998<\/a>) de manera individualizada. La segunda forma de recogida de informaci\u00f3n, debido a que no hubo posibilidad de contactar f\u00edsicamente con algunos de los participantes localizados, por encontrarse residiendo fuera de la ciudad, fue remiti\u00e9ndoles por correo postal certificado y con acuse de recibo, el cuestionario de la Escala de Bienestar Psicol\u00f3gico, la hoja de respuestas y un sobre franqueado para que nos remitiesen sus contestaciones. Con otros se contact\u00f3 a trav\u00e9s del correo electr\u00f3nico, envi\u00e1ndoles tambi\u00e9n los cuestionarios y las hojas de respuestas.<\/p><p id=\"par0100\">Para el grupo de comparaci\u00f3n, compuesto por participantes de capacidad intelectual normal evaluada mediante la escala de Raven-G y que se hallaban cursando un m\u00e1ster universitario en el curso 2013-2014, se les solicit\u00f3 colaboraci\u00f3n a aquellos que as\u00ed lo deseasen, y se les administr\u00f3 personalmente la Escala de Bienestar Psicol\u00f3gico. Ambas pruebas fueron administradas en 2 sesiones diferentes de manera colectiva por parte de los autores del trabajo. Todos los participantes lo hicieron de manera voluntaria y colaboradora, siendo informados del alcance de la investigaci\u00f3n y cumpliendo los est\u00e1ndares \u00e9ticos de este tipo de estudios.<\/p><\/section>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-5187f87 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"5187f87\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-f0b794d\" data-id=\"f0b794d\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-545149e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"545149e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4 id=\"sect0050\" class=\"u-h3 u-margin-l-top u-margin-xs-bottom\">Resultados<\/h4><p id=\"par0105\">El objetivo de este trabajo fue hacer un seguimiento de una muestra de personas identificadas como de ACI y otra de inteligencia normal, en relaci\u00f3n con su percepci\u00f3n sobre el bienestar psicol\u00f3gico. El an\u00e1lisis estad\u00edstico fue realizado teniendo en cuenta: a) conocer los par\u00e1metros de respuesta del cuestionario de bienestar psicol\u00f3gico de los participantes de ACI, y b) comparar estos con los obtenidos por las personas de nivel de inteligencia normal.<\/p><div><p id=\"par0110\">En la\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#tbl0005\" name=\"btbl0005\">tabla 1<\/a>\u00a0se presentan las puntuaciones directas alcanzadas en los cuestionarios administrados a todos los participantes. Como puede observarse, de los 14 sujetos que conformaban el grupo, \u00fanicamente 7 cumplimentaron las 4 subescalas, 4 cumplimentaron 3 subescalas y 3 cumplimentaron solo 2 de las subescalas. Si bien el grupo de ACI obtiene unas puntuaciones medias superiores en las subescalas de Bienestar Psicol\u00f3gico Subjetivo, Bienestar Material, Bienestar Laboral y en la escala total, a las del grupo de capacidad intelectual normal, que punt\u00faa m\u00e1s alto en la subescala de la Relaci\u00f3n de Pareja, estas diferencias no son estad\u00edsticamente significativas salvo para la subescala del Bienestar Material.<\/p><p id=\"par0135\">La interpretaci\u00f3n de estos datos no permite realizar generalizaciones m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de los participantes estudiados, por cuanto son muy pocos. El potencial del trabajo no est\u00e1 tanto en su generalizaci\u00f3n como en el valor del seguimiento de las personas estudiadas 20 a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s de ser identificadas como de ACI. No obstante, considerando en ambos grupos de poblaci\u00f3n los resultados de la escala total en la Escala de Bienestar Psicol\u00f3gico (EBP), estos nos sugieren que existe una independencia entre los constructos de inteligencia y de bienestar psicol\u00f3gico, resultados que vienen a coincidir con algunas investigaciones (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0070\" name=\"bbib0070\">Ferriman et al., 2009<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0100\" name=\"bbib0100\">Lubinski et al., 2001<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0260\" name=\"bbib0260\">Wechsler et al., 2014<\/a>). Igualmente, podemos considerarlos en la l\u00ednea de los resultados logrados en el campo de la inadaptaci\u00f3n personal, escolar y social en sujetos adolescentes (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0025\" name=\"bbib0025\">Borges, Hern\u00e1ndez y Rodr\u00edguez, 2011<\/a>), por lo que podemos tomarlos como unos datos que contrarrestan la creencia, m\u00e1s o menos generalizada, de considerar al grupo de ACI como personas con dificultades de integraci\u00f3n social. Cabe pensar, por otro lado, que estas menores dificultades de integraci\u00f3n social podr\u00edan estar actuando como facilitadores de la convivencia y de la relaci\u00f3n social (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0085\" name=\"bbib0085\">G\u00f3mez y Valadez, 2010<\/a>).<\/p><p id=\"par0140\">A diferencia de un estudio preliminar sobre bienestar psicol\u00f3gico y alta capacidad (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0160\" name=\"bbib0160\">Ramiro et al., 2012<\/a>), en el presente estudio hemos podido comparar las puntuaciones de los sujetos de ACI con un grupo de capacidad intelectual normal, y hemos encontrado que \u00fanicamente se presentan diferencias significativas en la subescala del Bienestar Material. Al estar basada dicha escala en una percepci\u00f3n subjetiva que cada uno experimenta respecto a las condiciones materiales en las que se desenvuelve su vida, y no seg\u00fan \u00edndices externos de valoraci\u00f3n, nos inclinamos a pensar que los sujetos de ACI muestran un mayor grado de satisfacci\u00f3n con sus condiciones materiales de existencia.<\/p><p id=\"par0145\">Desde el enfoque de la tradici\u00f3n eudam\u00f3nica del bienestar psicol\u00f3gico, los resultados hallados respecto al bienestar material, nos llevan a pensar que los individuos de ACI, menos preocupados por las condiciones materiales de su existencia, prefieren enfocar su trayectoria vital a partir del planteamiento de metas y objetivos cuya consecuci\u00f3n, no sin una considerable dosis de esfuerzo, supongan un logro en la realizaci\u00f3n de la persona y el consiguiente grado de satisfacci\u00f3n con la vida.<\/p><p id=\"par0150\">Si al referirnos a metas y objetivos planteados en la vida aceptamos que el bienestar psicol\u00f3gico es un concepto en el que hay que tener en cuenta la congruencia entre las metas deseadas y las obtenidas (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0230\" name=\"bbib0230\">Torres, 2003<\/a>), y si consideramos que en muchas ocasiones el no alcanzar dicha congruencia puede generar mayores niveles de estr\u00e9s, podr\u00edamos tambi\u00e9n pensar que los sujetos de ACI se muestran m\u00e1s h\u00e1biles en la consecuci\u00f3n de cierta congruencia entre las metas deseadas y las obtenidas, logrando de esta manera un mejor bienestar psicol\u00f3gico. Esta mayor habilidad a la que hacemos referencia para la consecuci\u00f3n de la congruencia entre las metas deseadas y las obtenidas puede llevarnos a la consideraci\u00f3n de caracter\u00edsticas de personalidad, presentes en dichos sujetos, que contribuyen a la consecuci\u00f3n del bienestar psicol\u00f3gico. A este respecto, en una investigaci\u00f3n anterior (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0155\" name=\"bbib0155\">Ramiro, Marcilla y Navarro, 1999<\/a>) con participantes de ACI en edades m\u00e1s tempranas que las del presente estudio, pudimos comprobar que dichos sujetos presentaban una personalidad que se caracterizaba por el equilibrio y el ajuste en buena parte de sus rasgos.<\/p><p id=\"par0155\">Otros factores que tambi\u00e9n se han considerado importantes para el logro del ajuste psicosocial y el bienestar psicol\u00f3gico son la autoestima y la atribuci\u00f3n interna del \u00e9xito y el fracaso, de manera primordial en adolescentes (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0030\" name=\"bbib0030\">Carrasco y del Barrio, 2002<\/a>). Si bien los participantes en nuestro estudio est\u00e1n fuera de ese periodo evolutivo, su entrada en el mundo adulto y laboral les va a hacer experimentar situaciones de cambios, crisis y transformaciones a las que tendr\u00e1n necesariamente que enfrentarse (<a class=\"workspace-trigger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1888899216300022#bib0265\" name=\"bbib0265\">Zacar\u00e9s y Serra, 1998<\/a>). La manera de enfrentarse a dichas situaciones y c\u00f3mo resolverlas estar\u00e1 necesariamente relacionada no solo con la autoestima y el modo de atribuci\u00f3n, sino con el equilibrio personal y la congruencia con la que manejen las metas deseadas y alcanzadas en la vida.<\/p><p id=\"par0160\">En definitiva, y considerando tambi\u00e9n las limitaciones que presenta nuestro estudio, podemos decir que las personas de ACI que han participado en esta investigaci\u00f3n presentan un grado de bienestar psicol\u00f3gico semejante al grupo de personas de capacidad intelectual normal, excepto en el \u00e1rea del bienestar material. Lejos de zanjar la cuesti\u00f3n de la inadaptaci\u00f3n o adaptaci\u00f3n social de las personas de ACI, los datos de nuestro estudio parecen indicar que se puede ser muy inteligente y a la vez destacar tambi\u00e9n en los niveles de bienestar psicol\u00f3gico.
